Hi, I’m planning to apply for a DTV visa for Thailand.
Does the required amount of money have to be in my bank account, or can I provide proof of investments/an investment portfolio under my name?
Answer summary
To apply for a DTV visa for Thailand, the required amount of 500,000 THB generally needs to be held in an accessible bank account for a minimum of 3 months. While some US consulates may accept investment accounts, this is not a common practice elsewhere, and it ultimately depends on the specific Embassy or Consulate you are applying to.

It generally needs to be in a bank account that's immediately accessible. A couple of consulates in the US seem to accept investment accounts but nowhere else I'm aware of
