TLDR : Answer Summary
When your visa is approved via the Thai consulate in the USA, you will only receive an electronic copy of the visa as a PDF file via email. There are no hard copies mailed to you; you can also print the PDF from the e-visa system if needed.

The only thing you'll receive is your visa as a pdf document which will be sent via email. You can also get it by logging back into the e-visa system and printing it from there.

I can do the .pdf printing from my home, in Japan. How others could do that from elsewhere, even not stationary? Just a technical question.

Go to a print shop. How could they fill out a visa application and provide all the required paperwork before it went to e-visa system?

You’ll get your e-visa as a PDF file by email.
