When doing your acro do you need to select that the police certificate is for Thailand? As dont give me an optiong for the uk
Answer summary
When applying for an ACRO (Access to Criminal Records Office) police certificate in the UK for use in Thailand, you do not need to select Thailand as the destination country on the application. Instead, you should apply for a UK police certificate, stating that it is for overseas use, and mention that it is intended for Thailand in any accompanying notes. The certificate will serve as a UK document, and you can specify Thailand as the destination where necessary.

It’s an international ACRO that’s all that matters
For ACRO you apply for UK police certificate, you do not need to pick Thailand in country list. The certificate is UK doc, Thailand is just where you will use it. On form, purpose is visa or work abroad, and you can write Thailand as destination if they ask for reason.
When you fill, select police certificate for overseas use, give your UK address history. The result comes as UK doc with your record, then you send to Thai embassy. No need to choose UK as option for Thailand, just choose UK certificate and mention Thailand in cover note.
You could consider reading a book or two before your trip. I’d recommend Unlock Thailand by Isla Rey on Amazon, it includes all the info and insights you need. You should check it out. A very good companion 👌.
