Regarding DTV: I see some people got actual visas put in their passport. From the consulate in Los Angeles where I got it, they just emailed me a form. Why do some give actual visas in passport and mine just a document pdf? Any difference?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The difference in receiving an actual visa sticker in a passport versus a PDF document for the Thai visa often relates to how the visa was applied for. When using the eVisa system, applicants typically receive a PDF document via email. In contrast, those who apply through a consulate in countries that do not have an eVisa system might receive a physical visa sticker. Both types ultimately grant the same benefits, and upon entering Thailand, travelers must show the eVisa document along with their passport.
say I submit everything While Im in LA and while waiting for the approval I travel to Korea do I have to go back to LA or will I get everything I need via email from the LA consulate ?
If you apply using eVisa you get a PDF document, if you apply through an embassy or Consulate in a country not using eVisa you get a sticker in your passport
