TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the requirements for applying for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand, specifically regarding the necessity of creating a self-assignment letter for oneself as the owner of a real estate agency. Participants share experiences and advice, noting that while it may seem unconventional, writing a letter to grant oneself permission to work remotely is a common practice and can be easily done.

I wrote a official business letter as the president / director giving myself permission to work remotely signed by me and Thai wife vice president. 😂

It does sound silly but that is what others have done with rental businesses for the DTV. Take the path of least resistance and takes about 5 minutes to produce the letter.

Sounds nonsense but you need that letter giving yourself permission to work remotely in Thailand.
