Hi - I live in HCMC have a Temp resident card and Business Registration Cert which states me as the business owner. Does any one know if these are acceptable docs for a freelancer who doesn’t have any employment contract/certificate

Are you managing the business online? The key is to show online work with non-Thai businesses/customers. You can issue yourself an employment contract as the business owner.
