Hi,

I have to fly out of the country to renew my visa.

Is there a certain amount of days you need to stay out of Thailand, or can you just fly back in the following day?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the process of renewing their visa by exiting Thailand and wondering if there is a required duration for staying outside the country before returning. Comments indicate that the concept of 'renewing a visa' may be misunderstood, and the possibility of returning the next day after exiting is suggested.

There's no such thing as "renewing a visa".

What exactly are you trying to do? Do you have a multiple entry visa that you're trying to get a new entry on?

so you don't even have a visa at all. You have visa exempt (entry stamp with no visa).

There's no minimum time you need to be gone. You can even return the same day. But you need to stamp out of Thailand, stamp into another country by crossing through passport control there, then stamp out of that country before returning to Thailand.

If you leave Thailand and return immediately too many times, you'll get questioned at immigration about why you're spending so much time in Thailand without a proper long-term visa. You can probably get away with it 2-3 times before it becomes a problem.
