Hello, my dad and his girlfriend will be visiting me (in Nahkon Ratchasima) for 2 weeks in December. I have booked accommodation in other provinces, but they will first come home with me for 3 nights before we travel further. Should I be sending them a photo of my notification of residence to avoid any problems upon entry? How can I ensure a smooth-as-possible immigration check for them? It's their first time leaving South Africa. 🙏🏼

Ok, they've got

1. a return ticket back to South Africa

2. Proof of only 5 nights of the 14 (because he will be staying at my house for the rest)

baht cash each as they didn't want to over exchange, but will have their credit card for further withdrawals.

I'm not sure how I can further prepare them from my side.

I have just been through the same, although immigration CAN ask for the 3 proofs,

1. Proof of leaving Thailand within 30 days

2. Proof of accommodation for the entire stay

For a first time visitor they won't, this is more of a deterrent they have in their arsenal to have grounds for people abusing the visa-free system
