My little sister is flying in now and is getting a visa on entry as she lands, for her proof of accommodation, my Thai girlfriend has emailed her a rent statement of where we live, her ID card and a letter stating she will be staying with us.
Would this be okay?
TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry is about whether a rent statement, an ID card, and a letter from a Thai girlfriend would suffice as proof of accommodation for a Visa on Arrival for a South African tourist entering Thailand. Responses indicate that such documentation is often adequate, especially for a first-time tourist, although some travelers suggest that it may vary based on the immigration officer's discretion.
FEW people coming in on a 30 day visa exempt entry are asked for proof of lodging. IF you're going to be asked for anything (usually because you flag in the system due to your prior entry history) you are asked for proof of funds.
You should be fine with the documentation that you gave her.
I just came in on a 30 day visa a few days ago from USA. They asked me to write the name of my accommodation on the form as I had accidentally omitted it. They immediately stamped my visa with no questions. My wife came in a few hours before me as an Indian on a 15 day and she was grilled as they scrutinized each proof of accommodation for the 4 places we will be staying. So I’d say it depends on 1. What country you’re from and 2. The whim of the inspector
and it really depends on having a Visa Exempt Entry (NO Visa), where there might be questions, OR having a Visa on Arrival where the person NEEDS to meet the requirements of this VISA. The difference: Inside your passport as example so dates are incorrect:
If your little sister is a tourist and not living inside Thailand for years using tourist visa, she would be okay. Get a 30 day Visa Exempt Entry and a smile with Welcome in Thailand.
