TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is traveling to Thailand with a tourist visa to visit his girlfriend. Concerns arise about what to state to immigration since he is traveling alone this time, despite having an invitation letter from his girlfriend. Responses from the community suggest that he should simply state he is on holiday or vacation. Additional advice includes having a copy of his girlfriend's ID and contact details, as well as ensuring proper registration (TM30) with immigration, which will help mitigate any issues during his entry.

Updates: I'm here now in Thailand

Just tell them you’re Russian, you’ll piss through

Dont do this bro , Always come with hotel booking and return flight ticket, never discuss about gfs on any airports in the world. Immigration officers are always jealous of your gf they will send you back. 😁

I have my flight from thailand to malaysia i don't have my return ticket because i'll not go back from thailand also i don't know from where or when i'll back to my home country, I have a letter invitation from her and with her signature, Id card number, her address, also i have a copy of her Id card and she will be on the airport too
Sk **********
@Abdalah *********
nobody will let her go inside the airport, its risk , if you wanna go thailand to Malaysia then you can show that ticket no problem at all or you can book dummy ticket from many sites in $10.
Aaron *******
Keep it simple. Just say on holiday/vacation.

Idea in which country you are applying for your TR60. But with the online visa you will be asked why you are traveling to Thailand (visiting friends/family). and you have to upload your friend's invitation letter (with address and ID card).So there is no reason to be asked when entering the country because everything is already known. But don't forget to report to immigration within 24 hours of entry (TM30).

I have already my visa on my passport i get it from embassy, but i want to know what should i say when they ask me because i'm planning to stay in my girlfriend house i have a letter invitation from her
Andreas *********
@Abdalah *********
Then tell it like it is, it can't be a problem.and report it to Immi through your girlfriend when you get there. Private individuals also have to do the TM30.

What is mean TM30

Your hotel, landlord or host must register with immigration. All within 24 hours. That would be the right thing to do, and I'm sure many people will write again and do it not. But that is the law.

Simple man you hv tourist visa as well as you should have the invitation letter from your girl friend with full details of her mentioning that she will be responsible for your stat, lodging, boarding, medical etc.

Show them if they ask, you have all the legal documents so not to worry.

You must have a tourist visa multiple entries and your visa allows you to stay a certain number of days. Example stay upto 60 days.

If you meet the requirements you can come no problem.

Most probably immigrants are not going to ask you, in case they ask you might just need them to talk to your girlfriend and show them where you stay.

Hope it helps.

She have to be there on the airport too? I have already copy of her id card, her contact, Her address
Master **************
@Abdalah *********
no she no need to be at the airport, but must be available by call in case the officer asks.

I feel most probably when you already have multiple entry valid visa with the remaining days to stay and you have traveled once. You will be happily allowed.

Or a very easy option visa on arrival..

Good luck man

Ask your GF to message you a copy of her ID and the address where you expect to stay. If she wishes maybe a paragraph in Thai that you are visiting her.

There is a stupid complication . With a tourist visa, when u stay at somebody house, and not a hotel, u need to fill out a special form at immigration explaining that. Your English perfect btw
Steve **********
@Neil *********
simply TM-30, fill in online.
Dee ***********
@Steve *********
hello Steve do you do the TM-30 on line and there no need to print one off
John ********
@Neil *********
It's easy, take the owner with you to immigration with their id card, your passport and it takes minutes to register where your staying.
Neil **********
@John *******
thanks, I have overcome this hurdle. Filling out the same form many times over a few mos I find irritating, but as u say doable, not so bad

Michael ********
Why would immigration care, got tourist visa you are coming as tourist.
Greg ************
Unfortunately
@Mic****
it has a lot to do with nationality. Passing through immigration, even with all the relevant documentation, is not guaranteed.

The ability to support yourself aside, immigration can be concerned with a number of statistics relating to your country of origin/nationality including, criminality, terrorism, illegal immigrants, undocumented workers, to name just a few.

It is a sad fact that a large number of nationalities are not afforded the same freedom of movement as say a white guy from Cardiff holding a British passport. 😂

Look around next time you’re breezing through immigration unimpeded. You’ll notice it’s a privilege, not a given 😉

@Greg ***********
As someone who often flies to Africa and Americas I know. Even with all correct visas/medicals still takes an hour or so to get into DRC
