I have a Non Immigrant O-A visa issued in London on 18th September 2019 thanks to the help I received from this group.

I entered Thailand on 19th October I leave to go back to England on 9th December and wish to return 27th January for 3 months.

My question when I leave on 9th December do I have to request a special stamp on the visa/ passport so I can just return with no issue ?

Thanks for any help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the need for a special stamp on their Non Immigrant O-A visa upon leaving Thailand and returning shortly after. Comments provided clarify that as long as the user enters Thailand before the visa validity date (17 September 2020), they can return without needing a special stamp. However, when planning to re-enter after this validity date, a re-entry permit may be required to maintain continuous stay rights.

right but you get a year every time you enter the country SO if you're going to come leave on Dec, and come back in Jan you will get stamped in for a year in January 2020, (so until Jan 2021).

THEN if you're not comin' back until AFTER the 17th of Sept 2020 you need a re-entry permit

Valid from 18 September 2019

Valid until 17th September 2020

Multiple

Non -Immigrant O-A.

Then when I entered Thailand on 19 October for the first time on this visa I got the stamp as above

As always thanks for help.

you can come in and out all you want and you'll get stamped in for a whole year as long as you enter BEFORE the 17th of Sept 2020.

(y) if your visa has an issue date of 18th Sept 2019 it should have a "valid until", "enter before" or "must be utilized" date of the 16th Sept 2020. Is that correct?

The visa is valid until 17th September 2020.

The stamp next to it says 19 October 2019 until 19th October 2020 issued at BK airport.

My first question was do I need to do anything different when I leave next week it appears to be no ?

Secondly I thought I could re enter just before 19th October 2020 and get another year but reading above it would appear I need to get back before the 17th September 2020 which may be more difficult as I planned to travel again in October is that correct ?

Thanks as always for the

quick reply’s and help.

Yep, that's it. The first time you come back jan 2020, you NOT need a re-entry permit because the VISA (Which is multi entry) is still valid. But when you come back in october 2020, you are on that one year stamp you got entering jan 2020 !! (so that year valid until jan 2021). But because of your visa itself is expired mid october (visa valid and so multi entry until sept 2020) you need a re-entry permit (so buy in april before you leave) indeed. So on your SECOND entry in october !!!

As long as your visa is valid, in your case till 17th Sep 2020 you can use this visa and enter Thailand and get a 1 year Admitted to Stay. After that date the visa is invalid and can not be used anymore.

You say you have now a stamp with Admitted until 19th Oct 2020, if you plan to leave Thailand now and NOT come back before 17th Sep 2020, but before 19th Oct 2020 you can apply for the Re-Entry Permit and that will give you the same Admitted until date of 19th Oct 2020 when you enter after 17th Sep 2020.

I think there are reports from people that only were stamped for 30 days because They didn´t show proof of insurance coverage...take account of that .

I hope it's Multi entry visa upto one year so no need to reentry stamps upto 17th September 2020.

Check your visa details at Sticker.

As long as you enter before the Valid Until date on your visa sticker you should get 1 year of Admitted to stay on entry in Thailand.
