I just called and while the english of the Thaiz who answered the phones was adequate the concept of what a re-entry permit was seemed lost on them. :/

I'd say don't chance it and go get one from the immigration office BEFORE you go there to fly out.

wow so reactive! thank you so much 😊 maybe they dont know cos probably there most flights are domestic... i flew from utapao a couple of times but cant remember, although the airport is really small they have like 2gates 😆
