Do I need to make a bank deposit on the same day as my Non-Imm O visa extension appointment?

I have an 8:30 appointment tomorrow 6-3-24 at Chang Watthana for a one year extension of my Non-Imm O visa. Yesterday, 4-3-24, I received my bank letter, transaction history and updated my passbook with a deposit that day. Do I need to make another deposit on 6-3-24, the same day as my appointment? If so, do I also need a photocopy of the page showing the deposit on that morning?

Thanks for any insight !

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about whether a bank deposit is necessary on the day of their Non-Imm O visa extension appointment. Community responses emphasize the importance of having an updated bank book reflecting the current balance on the date of the application. It is recommended to print out the bank book update and make a copy prior to the appointment.

Hooray… did a multi-stop Grab ride, my first bank passbook update at an ATM (1st in 8yrs 🤣), made a copy of the update, was having my documents checked promptly at 8:30 🕣 and was finished and in a taxi going home within 40 minutes… PERFECT!

Thanks for all the support and information.

Probably a stupid question… can you update a UOB bank book on an ATM from a different bank?

looks like the closest one is at IT Square Laksi Plaza

but they don't open until 8:30 am and I can't see from the photos if they have an outdoor passbook updating machine

thanks Tod… to be safe, I’ll use the UOB Soi 4 ATM open 24 hrs for passbook update on the way to Immigration. I know it’s available and works.

@Tim *******
that would be a NO,

You update a UOB bank book at a UOB passbook updating machine.

The machines are bank company specific

@Tim *******
, that is what you need to ask to UOB if there is any

When you get out there SHOW the tall thin immigration guy that runs the zombie horde queuing up outside the door in the morning the print out of your appt.

Usually I tell people NOT to make appt's right when they open because you have 200 people trying to get in the door at 8:30 when they open and an 8:45 or 9AM appt is far easier as you just skate in

BE that as it may

That tall skinny immigration officer guy whose manned the entry doors for years WILL put you to the side and let you get in ahead of the horde when he sees you have a printed appt for 8:30.

you don't get a queue, you just go straight to section L1 and then to the first cubby on the right where it says "document check", they will check the documents, get them in the correct order, then send you to the correct cubby for the online appt extensions

Yes, you must update your passbook on the exact day of application and make a copy. Check your bank if they have a branch or atm/pum at Chaengwattana Building B. You can do it there before you go into the immigration office.

… that is my issue… I use UOB… Which is no available at Immigration… so I’ll need to deposit, update the passbook and make a copy AND be on time for my appointment… The CW UOB branch doesn’t open until 8:30… however, they have a cash deposit/passbook update ATM out front of the branch. I’m hoping to do this and hopefully I can get a photocopy downstairs at Immigration before my appointment.

, off the rails a bit. As long as you withdraw or deposit money after 0:00 tonight (anyway of internet/mobile/atm) the date record would be 6 March. Then update passbook anywhere (pum) before heading to CW in the morning. Just a thought.

You need to update that bank book so it has the balance the date you apply and make a copy of that last page too

So if that means you need to pull money out, or put money in to make your bank book update when you put it in to bank book updater machine then that's what you have to do.

Don't worry about the balance not being what the bank letter or detail transaction print out says, there's no requirement those numbers match at all, just do what ever you need to so you can get the balance to print on your bank book the day you apply for the extension 🙂
