Will I need to present my bank balance again on the decision date for my Non-O marriage visa extension?

Hi everyone.

I am currently on Non-O marriage visa that will expire on 27th of November. Today, 19th of October, I have submitted all my documents for the Non-O visa 1 year extension and the documents were accepted by the Immigration officer. I got a stamp that my extension is under consideration and I will need to come to Bangkok immigration office (Chaengwattana govt. complex) on 27th of November for the decision.

My question is regarding the 400K minimum in my thai Bank account. Will they require to show the balance of 400K minimum on the 27th Nov., when I come for their decision (so in total I need to keep 400K min. at least100 days)? Or is it already done, if they accepted all my documents and now it's the formality to wait till 27th of Nov.? Adding to this - it's my first Non-O marriage visa + extension.

Would appreciate your feedback, who had the experience with this process :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is currently on a Non-O marriage visa set to expire on November 27th and has applied for a 1-year extension, with the necessary documents accepted by immigration. They are inquiring whether they need to show proof of having the required 400,000 THB in their Thai bank account again when returning on that date or if the process is complete now that the submission is under consideration. Responses indicate that while it may not be mandatory to show the updated balance again, it is advisable to keep the funds in the account during this period to avoid issues, as some nuanced requirements may still apply.

When I did my marriage extension in Bangkok district 1 office they were satisfied just to see an ATM receipt dated the day of collecting the final stamp showing 400k

Since Chaengwattana went to 21 day under consideration (in most cases) they haven't asked for updated bank book OR proof you kept the 400K baht in the account when you went back to section L-2 to get the year extension inked in

For me, after today's final visit of applying for extension, it is under consideration until 27th of November, as I mentioned. So it is exactly 40 days from today... I guess I got the harsher treatment (maybe because it's my first extension) :)

I think they just stamped you until your current stamp expires, not treated you any harsher

Thanks for the info! So, they did actually ask you some proof that you still have the 400k in your bank account.

how long ago was this?

I'm in the same boat. Have to keep it in the bank until they approve and stamp your 12 month extension. It's like they want to see it three times to satisfy the beuricrates.

Yeah... Then I guess I will have to find a way to keep it above 400K for 40 days from today then :/

for the photos of my condo, at first, I came in with 5 photos of me and my wife, but the officer said I need to have 6 photos ๐Ÿ˜ƒ The next they I came in with 10, so there were no complains anymore, haha. Also, my wife one time forgot to bring her Thai ID, instead she had a passport, but they did not accept it and required us to bring her Thai ID. So here goes one more day of immigration trip...

baht 3 days late because of a long week. For 1 month. Also this time as well they wanted my stamped divorce documents and we're very particular about the photos of our house and my wife is a police officer. Work this one out.

while you will not be required to show the updated bank book when you go back to "close the loop" from the under consideration stamp to the year extension we recommend that people leave the funds in the account during this period.

Thanks for the reply

. So as I understand, it is not a rule that they will ask for my bank book balance, BUT it might happen, and I should "play it safe" and manage to keep the 400K in my bank account. Correct? :)

DON'T TOUCH THE 400,000 Thai baht UNTIL the one year extension is in your passport.
