TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation addresses whether it is necessary to inform Thai immigration about a passport renewal to update a Digital Visa (DTV), specifically for an eVisa holder. Responses indicate mixed opinions: some suggest that it is necessary to carry both the old and new passports for reference, while others mention that a visit to the Immigration office can allow for a stamp in the new passport, linking it to the existing visa.

You can visit Immigration office and get a stamp in your new passport with reference to the visa.

BUT some people will tell you that you need to carry both passports, even if you applied for a new passport because the old one get lost or stolen.
