How can I resolve issues with my AXA Insurance Certificate for an O-A Visa in Thailand?

Just got email from RTE DC stating my AXA Insurance Certificate (O-A Visa) needs to have 3 officers signatures because it’s a “Foreign Insurance Company”. Can someone please post or send me a PM of a copy of their AXA Insurance Certificate?

I’m confused. AXA is clearly listed under the TGIA (Thai General Insurance Association) website...which the RTE DC provides a direct link to on the RTE DC website.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user received a notification from the RTE DC that their AXA Insurance Certificate for an O-A Visa requires three officer signatures because AXA is considered a foreign insurance company. This has caused confusion as AXA is listed on the TGIA website and widely recognized in Thailand. Other users shared their experiences with AXA insurance, suggesting it should not be problematic, but the RTE DC seems to have outdated information. The conversation also includes suggestions to persist in communicating with RTE and seek clarification from a real person and not just automated responses.

Just add two bogus signatures and upload it

Thank you for everyone trying to help by saying AXA is a foreign or international insurance company.

AXA is listed, by the Thai Embassy, as an authorized and approved THAI insurance company.

Axa is French. Then you have Krungthai Axa here.

Hi Christ, Axa is french company and even in Hua Hin, there is AXA but because you re insuranced from abroad not in TL...like my previous case I had AXA in HH then they increased my premium, I took an offer online by a broker and cheaper...it happened that this one also is AXA but office in Hongkong, they contacted AXA in Hua Hin and they switched my file to AXA in HK without any problem. I advise you to have a certificate from your AXA stating you re covered with Covid 19 like my case when being asked....

No, it’s not for Covid...it’s for long stay OA. I have Luma for Covid coverage.

ok as long as you re covered as well for Covid that they want to be sure you can cover your expenses related to this...well that's all I know about it...

They’re wrong , especially with the certificate you have. I’m an agent with axa here in Bangkok. They’re just not used to seeing that certificate and their systems are not updated. Try going the email route and get a real person not a drone to review your case.

It's crazy I know. I lost a big client like that in the early days of this craziness. 40M baht coverage from AXA and they wouldn't accept it... just keep pounding at them because you won't be able to get the certificate they are insisting on. Your situation is like

Axa is actually a french company but they do have offices everywhere. My one is the same as yours and everyone else’s will be also as that’s how they look, I’m a financial adviser. So they’re talking crap honestly

I’ve also just checked the U.K. Thai embassy and no such thing in there
