What additional paperwork do I need for my extension of stay in Thailand, and can I apply for a multiple entry visa at the same time?

My daughter and I are on a 90-day visa, ed and guardian. Based on the advice from this website and others, I am going to try to file for the extension without an agent. My husband and I prepared the paperwork for the 90-day ourselves. Just to double check, besides a new letter from my school, what other paperwork is different? Second question, can I apply for the multiple entry visa at the same time as I apply for the extension. Thank you.

@Nim ****
remember for a year extension based on supporting foreign children here you will have to bank 500K baht in a bank account for 30 days before you apply for your first yearly extension and for 3 months for every yearly extension after that.

Oh, but if I want to get to Changwattana early, how is that possible? Does that mean I just have to get to the office late?

@Nim ****
for your yearly extension at the immigration office you will need a letter from your bank AND to update your bank book on the day you go apply for the extension

However at the thai consulate when you get the 90 day Non-O visa you will just need your bank book updated a day or two before you go ..

Thank you and thank you for updating with the specific rules for first time and subsequent time requirements. I've also read that I need to update my passbook right before visiting immigration to verify the money is current. Is that true?

Dependind on the school, your daughter will get 60 or 90 days Extension of Stay and your Extension of Stay will match that period. You can apply when the Extensions are stamped in your passport for Re-Entry permit.

From handing the documents to the officer and stamping the passport a few minutes.

Do you know the approximate processing time for the multiple entry?
Robert *******
You can apply when the Extensions are stamped in the passport for Re-Entry permit. So you apply for the Extension of Stay, directly after they are stamped in the passport, you apply for the re-entry permits, 1.000 Thb for Single and 3.800 Thb for multiple re-entry.

Thanks both for your input. Yes, I think I can do both our extensions at the same time as we did the 90-day together. My question is more about the multiple-entry. I've read I need one in order to travel in and out freely over the year. And if so, can I do it at the same time as my extension. One source said I can only apply after our extension has been granted, and that I'd have to return to Changwattana to apply for the multiple-entry.

If the school letter shows your daughter is in for the year or beyond she can get a year extension. Once she has hers you can get yours based off that. No idea if your immigration office will let you do both together at the same time.

I think we are eligible for a year extension. She goes to a primary international school.

You and your daughter are on a Visa, now you want to apply for an Extension of Stay, Unclear to me is who is using which visa, you say your school this sounds as you have the ED visa? And where are you going to apply?
