Plan to come in 30 day visa exempt from Australia in November and then 15 days before it expires apply for an Non O spouse visa being married to a Thai national.
Can someone please confirm I donβt need to have had 400,000 Baht in my Thai bank account for 2 months prior to applying for the Non O 90 day visa?
I know I need 400,000 in 2 months prior to applying for the year extension on the Non O visa.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You do not need to have 400,000 Baht in your Thai bank account for 2 months prior to applying for the Non-O 90 day visa based on being married to a Thai national. However, it is advised to apply earlier than 15 days before your current visa expires to avoid any complications.

That is correct. There is no seasoning requirements to get an in-country Non-O visa based on marriage.
>and then 15 days before it expires
I highly recommend NOT cutting it so close though π The 15 days remaining for Bangkok Immigration is the very last day you can apply for the Non-O visa.
ok thanks for confirming that. I definitely will go early for both O visa stages! Looking forward to getting back soon πππ¦πΊ πΉπ

Follow up questions. As far as insurance goes, will I only need the covid insurance for 30 days? Is there an additional mandatory heath insurance required?
