TLDR : Answer Summary
For internal flights in Thailand, such as those from Bangkok to Phuket, there is no need to go through immigration. Travelers only need to check in and pass through security at the airport. While you will not receive an immigration stamp for domestic travel, it's advisable to carry your passport for identification purposes, as it may be required at certain venues or events.

The authorities always want to know where you are, so every motel you go to want a copy of your passport and they are linked to immigration, it's different when you live here .

Look for transfers, not immigration.

You check in floor 4 and continue to domestic departures left of krispy kreme to domestic gates. There’s another security at the gate. The airport staff is usually helpful

Just an add on to question , keep your passport on you , for your own version of the thai i.d system. At some big goverment events ( i was in bkk a couple of days ago ), you will be asked for your passport as i.d. . Hope this helps. ,

I have been asked a couple of times in bkk over the years .

If you have a connecting flight, your baggage gets checked through, you will stay airside. Enter Thailand through a special immigration booth on the way from International or move on to the domestic terminal
Gregory ********
No—its internal

Immigration means coming into a country from another country, if your travelling within that country then its domestic travel, however, you will still need to present your passport as form of ID and it will feel very much the same, until you arrive at the destination airport where you won't get a stamp in. You also don't get a stamp out at departures.

Look for Domestic Terminal at Suvarnabhumi airport.

@Mma ******
he will not find it.. There is no domestic terminal at Suv... You "turn left" entering the check in area and head towards the domestic end of the terminal

No. It’s a domestic flight. You do not go through immigration.
