What do I need to apply for a 30-day tourist visa extension in Thailand?

Has anyone completed the 30 day tourist visa extension recently? I'm trying to find out the exact items a person needs to bring for this application.

I'm staying at a registered Hotel so I believe a copy of the TM 30 is not required. The lineup at the Jomtien office is insane right now, so it would be nice to have everything in order to avoid being turned around.

Thanks 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a 30-day tourist visa extension in Thailand, you typically need to bring several documents including copies of your passport's personal details page, entry stamp, and visa. If applicable, also make copies of your partner's ID card and housing book. All copies should be signed in blue ink. It is noted that the TM30 form is usually required unless you're staying at a registered hotel. Queues at immigration offices, especially in Jomtien, can be long, so getting there early might help.

TM30 is required. There's no line at 730am

Copy of Passport personal details page, copy of entry stamp in Passport, copy of Visa,

I also had to make copy of partners I D card and Housebook pages and receipt of notification of residence where I am staying.

All copies must have your signature on, in Blue pen.

I am currently at Korat immigration they are very helpful, and there are copy facilities if you need them.

You can get the 30 day extension the same day you land as long as the BKK immigration office is still open at that time…. So go whenever you want in the 45 days you probably have with your visa exemption stamp…beware of the dreaded lunch hour at the immigration office it will turn into an all day affair…

if your comprehension is so good, why can't you understand the guys post "Has anyone completed the 30 day tourist visa extension recently? I'm trying to find out the exact items a person needs to bring for this application."

He's asking is if he needs more than the TM30 for the extension to his TOURIST VISA. .

ok. Seems you cant read the word tourist visa. Lol. You've been told by others but prefer trying to make out an English woman doesn't know what an extension to a tourist visa is. How sad.

Technically that's correct but for a 30 day extention many Imm Offices will tell you to come back when you have a week or less left on your entry stamp. So I wouldnt bother going too early!

Even Bangkok will tell you to come back nearer the time your stamp ends if the mood takes them!

yes you can have the 45 day visa exemption stamp in your passport if you have a passport that allows that, then at immigration you pay ฿1,900 for the 30 day extension

is he not? Please provide why you think he’s on a visa, I see he’s from BC and that passport gets the 45 day visa exemption waiver stamp

because he says he's on a tourist visa. In his first sentence. In stead of repeating "where does he say it" just go read what he says.

Literally in the first sentence. He couldn’t be talking about extending a 30 day exempt entry because we’re now in December so he would have had a 45 day entry if exempt. So the OP must be referring to a 30 day extension of a tourist visa. As they state.

yes and just assume he knows what he’s talking about…you only read the first part of his sentence SBF you negate reading the 2nd part of his sentence thus your comprehension of the whole breadth of his statement is obviously lacking 😂😂😂😂

This is a general guideline but each office sets their own requirements. You can also make an appointment and skip the line. Jomtien likes to send people away if they still have too long left on their existing stay and tell them to come back when they have a week or less.
