Need for reporting for visa exception.

I arrived in Bangkok on 3rd July on a visa exception (UK passport). I will finish ASQ on 17th July and stay with my family in our house in Chiang Mai. Do I have to register with immigration when I get to Chiang Mai?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the requirement to file a TM30 report upon moving from Bangkok to Chiang Mai after completing a quarantine period under a visa exception. Multiple comments suggest that a TM30 should be filed within 24 hours of arriving in Chiang Mai. However, there is some nuance in practice, with suggestions to confirm with the local immigration office in Chiang Mai.

Don't worry about the TM30 at all until you get up to your primary residence (in Chiang Mai) then go file it.

If you would like to apply for anything at CM immigration office, you may need a new TM30 in CM area with new TM6 (departure card) number.

You are asking about a TM 30. TECHNICALLY, a TM30 needs to be filed no later then 1 business day after you arrive at a location. However, some immigration offices only want it filed ONCE when you arrive in Thailand.

I recommend asking Chiang Mai immigration and see what they say.
