Question about TM30. I was in Thailand last November and stayed for 2 1/2 months. I did my TM30 after I got out of quarantine at immigration. I went back to the states and am now back again in quarantine. Do I need to submit a TM30 again after I am released? I will be staying at the same address I reported to immigration last time on the TM30. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the need to submit a TM30 form upon returning to Thailand after quarantine, mentioning that they would stay at the same address as before. Comments suggest that it is advisable to submit a new TM30 for each re-entry, even if the address remains the same, based on experiences from others at various immigration offices.

In Chiang Mai, I was suggested by immigration officer to report TM.30 for my husband every time he gets back in even with the same address.

Sounds like a good option. I don’t want to make the 2 hour drive each way to file it. I thought I read somewhere in a forum a while ago that if you come back to Thailand and are staying at the same address you registered at before (and are on the same non o-a visa) that you don’t have to re-register again

can you do this even online when you do for first time?

Get out of quarantine and go to Nakhon Sawan later that day and see that should do within 24 hours, but since we won’t be able to do in first 2 days due to other commitments (need almost 2 hours each way - so it is a full day trip in end effect).

My wife asked they said online, by post or in person.

Been reading online is down atm, post don’t really want to send passport this way and as I say in person possible on day 3 - will this cause problems?

What is your advice thx

Just go to the immigration office where your home as soon as you can after getting back there.

Most are good about it being within the first week of you getting back home. AND face it the max fine is 1600baht so it's not gonna break you if they do decide to fine you anyway

ok thx this clarifies it, copies of passport was what I thought but wifey said passport. Think I will go on day 3 and say been trying to do online which didn’t work so here I am and as you said if they fine me then ok no big deal.

, sounds like your wife got a "lost in translation" thing going on :(

To file a TM30 by mail you need copies of:

the data page of your passport,

your visa (if you have one),

your entry stamp,

your TM6 departure card,

the blue house book of the owner where you're staying

their thai i/d,

a filled out TM30 form

and a self addressed stamped envelope.

They'll mail back to you the bottom
***
of the TM30 form which is your receipt ;)

yes it right and I just wanted to make sure. By post is therefore also an option and can do this on the first day no probs.

Thank u for your clear help as always

You aren't gonna do anything online until that system comes back up AND then once it does you register to USE the system, upload documents and they send you a temp password and a user name, then you can log in change the password and use the system

@Paul ******
by mail in you don't SEND the passport :( you send COPIES of your passport along with the documents to file a TM30 at that office ;)

You also include a self address stamped envelope to the immigration office and they mail the receipt back to you

The reason I ask IS

The official rule is even if you're comin' back from abroad IF you're going back to your same address (one you previously filed a TM30 at) you do not need to re-file

BUT

Some immigration offices refuse to follow this and will fine you for failure to re-file.

I think, error on the side of caution, take
@Ry**
's advice and file another one when you get home
