Do I need to do a 90-day report after my DTV visa in Thailand?

Hello everyone, I will do a border run next weekend as my first 180 days are coming to an end. When I received my DTV I got told that there’s no need of doing 90 days report.

Now that I’m reading a group I see a lot of threads about 90 days report, that’s why I’d like to ask, is there anyone with the similar problem as me?

Do I need to prepare for some fines at the border due to the lack of 90 days report?

Also I’ve been in Thailand consecutively for ~180 days.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses concerns about the necessity of a 90-day report for holders of a DTV visa in Thailand, especially before an upcoming border run. Although one commenter points out that the 90-day report is legally required for most visa holders except those on an LTR visa, they suggest that a fine is unlikely if the individual does not interact with immigration at the time. Another user shares their experience of completing a border run without facing fines after similar confusion.

Who told you there is no need of doing the 90 days report when you received your DTV Visa ?

The 90-day report is compulsory by law for all visa holders, except those on an LTR visa. Failing to do so may result in fines and other penalties (you can check the relevant law for details).

Will you be fined? As long as you don’t deal with an immigration office, you’ll likely be fine. The day you have to may lead to a fine or more. There’s nothing difficult about submitting your 90-day report just do it when required to avoid any issues. It’s that simple.
