TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing an issue with their DTV visa application at the Hanoi embassy because the client company, which they are working with as a freelance architect, is unwilling to provide the necessary company registration. The embassy requires this document, leading the user to seek advice from others who may have experienced similar situations. Some respondents suggest that without the required documents, the application may not proceed, while others share that it is acceptable to inform the embassy about the company's refusal and to provide alternative documents, like a portfolio and invoices, instead.

I work for 2 Japanese firms, they are not legally required to give business registration to freelancers. One refused to give registration info. I informed the embassy and they said that was ok, just bring what you can.

Why did you mention a company if you are freelance. You should show a portfolio of your work, invoices for the work and payment coming into your bank corresponding to the invoices.
