I am a Myanmar citizen. I just did my homework from this group. No agents, no interview, no additional document asked.
I really appreciate all the useful tips I got from this group. Thank you all very much!
Documents submitted
- 3 months bank statement with no less than 500k THB continuously (Didn’t need to cover 3 calendar months. Mine from 11 Nov to 11 Feb. Before 11 Nov, slightly less than 500k. I submitted a cover letter explaining that I had savings in Wise and transaction record from Wise into my bank on Nov 11)
- A monthly invoice of mine to the employer and corresponding transaction record into my account
(I am on a consultancy contract but paid monthly)
- Employer letter explaining that my work is 100% remote and my payment agreement
- Employment contract
- Registration document of the employer organization
- All pages of my passport with stamps
- My passport biopage + hotel room key in Hanoi + Boarding Pass captured in one photo
I combined
(1) bank statements + invoice + transaction record into one pdf as financial evidence
(2) Employer letter + contact + registration document into one as proof of employment
(3) Passport pages + the photo of three things I mentioned into one as proof of current location.
‼️‼️Some important things to note
First is to write your whole name in one slot or let the website scan your passport biopage if you don’t have a family name, like me!
In my case, I just let the scan do the work.
Second is to check the public holidays of the country where you will apply from. I checked the Thai public holidays but forgot to check that for Vietnam. I got here since last week and stuck, as the Embassy closed for the whole week. They started processing on Feb 23 and approved today.
I was previously on the ED-plus visa. I canceled the ED- plus, travelled to Vietnam, and applied for DTV. So, there’s no problem changing directly from ED-plus to DTV.
I’m sharing my experience just like others did before which really helped me. I hope mine does too!
