UPDATED POST WITH MY PROCESS FOR APPLICATION AND SPOUSAL APPLICATION

Hey everyone!

I have just reentered into BKK on my DTV (my second since getting it in February) and my husband has just entered on his, via being a spouse dependent on mine.

This was the quickest and easiest immigration entry I've ever done.

I can, if anyone wants to know, both processes for applying for a DTV, as myself and then for my husband.

Let me know in the comments.

Passport sized photo

Contract and supporting letter from company stating when i started working with them, my role and my position allows me to work completely remotely.

Reqested Documents 2.

CV or Portfolio of my work

Resent my original bank statements, took a selfie for the new picture [against a white wall and full daylight on my face - this is the one they use on your DTV sent to you, and another of my entry stamp.

I had my 500,000ΰΈΏ in my account for around 2-3 weeks then printed my statements (August - January). I have a Revolut account, all information in English. Ensured all payments from the company were easily recognised (clear, large font), all my [bank] details clearly visible.

Application submitted on a Friday afternoon. Weekend offices Closed. First documentation request on the Wednesday, second request Thursday. Status updated to Pending Approval. Email confirming approval the following Wednesday.

In total
****
days for DTV to be submitted, checked, updated and then approved.

I stayed in Ho Chi Minh the entire time, entering on a one way ticket and extending my hotel accommodation.

SPOUSAL APPLICATION (Applied July)

Documenets:

Banks statements - 6 months

Screenshot of hotel accommodation

Entry stamp picture

Boarding pass picture

Passport bio page

Passport sized photo

Onward Ticket information - flight number

Marriage Certificate

DTV of DTV holder

Requested Documents 1.

New passport sized photo

Full passport including all empty pages

Requested Document 2.

Full passport including all empty pages - with time stamp on each image.

My husband had more than the required amount in his bank account. I did not need to submit any supporting letter on his behalf because of this.

A clearer passport picture for the DTV itself.

I took pictures of every single page, even the info page at the front and both covers, activate the time stamp on your phone camera - this will appear at the bottom of the images. They believed my first application to be scanned copies as the compressing of the file and the way I took the images may have taken out the edges of the photo. I may have also missed an empty page in uploading them. Time stamping the images shows when you are doing and will give a sequence ensuring you don't miss the pages.

I submitted Friday afternoon, first document request was Monday afternoon, the second, Tuesday afternoon, approval the following Monday morning.

working days for approval. Again we stayed in Ho Chi Minh the whole time and extended when we need to.

Recommendations

Submit a well taken selfie for your passport picture in a well lit room with a white background.

Time stamp your images of your passport pages.

On the entry stamp page, also have the boarding pass next to it.

Have a contract from the company you work for stating start dates, your position, your roll; as well as a separate letter stating you can work remotely. Have a CV/portfolio ready to submit.

Marriage certificate with apostle stamp.

Sponsorship letter in support of your spouse stating you can support them and the will not work when in Thailand (if requested).

ILovePDF to compress files and change documents to PDF.

If document is too large after compression, go to lowest resolution - the images will be fine

Upon entry

Completed TDAC one day prior to my return to Thailand - didn't complete the visa section

At immigration showed DTV on my phone

No other documents required

No questions asked, stamped until January

Through in less than 10 minutes

My husband was the same.

This is solely based on my experience and the evidence we were able to submit and subsequently requested, for our very easy (not completely stress free) application. Every application will be different, and solely dependant upon location. I chose Ho Chi Minh as I had read upon others experiences and the ease they had, which I can confirm it is relatively straight forward.
