Hey everyone!

Im in Thailand with a 60-day tourist visa. Im a norwegian citizen. I am staying at the same place every time im in Thailand (visiting my fiancé in Chiang Mai).

My question is whether i need to apply for TM30 every time i come to Thailand or whether its not necessary anymore since i always stay at the same place?

Thank you for your attention!

Kindly regards,

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the necessity of filing a TM30 form each time they enter Thailand on a 60-day tourist visa, given their consistent accommodation with their fiancé in Chiang Mai. Responses indicate that TM30 filing is required each time, as it needs to be submitted within 24 hours of arrival. Local immigration practices can vary, so it's advisable to check with the specific immigration office.

In Chiang Mai your fiance has to report inside 24 hours if you stay with her and not in a hotel

Went to immigration on Friday, and they asked for TM30, even though my husband has a yellow book. Any foreigner which is not Thai when they arrived then may have to fill TM30 and submit it within 24 hrs. online or in person. The fine for missing this process can cost you BHT 1,500.

you need a TM30. Even those like me staying on a let's say long stay visa need to be reported TM30 once they came back from abroad. Chiang Mai immigration wants that.

Please ask your local Thai immigration office for their requirements for the TM30 filing.

NOT all Thai immigration offices have the same requirements for the filing of the TM30.
