Hi everyone, I've just heard thailand are reverting back to the 30 day no visa entry on September 15th. This is the day I fly from London Heathrow and enter thailand on the 16th. My question is i planned to stay until nov 10th and have my return flight booked for the return?. Will I still be able to enter with this return date? Although be it on a 30 day exempt? Thanks for any advise
Answer summary
The individual is concerned about entering Thailand on a 30-day visa exemption due to a return flight scheduled for November 10th, following the new regulations set to take effect on September 15th, which reduce visa-exempt stay from 60 days to 30 days. Community members suggest applying for a 60-day tourist visa, checking airline policies regarding proof of onward travel, and considering a 30-day extension once in Thailand. Some note that if the exemption rules are published after the departure date, the traveler may still have options.

Here is the official website where you can apply for a 60 day tourist visa.
I did that too. Payed 35 euros and recieved the visa after 4 days.
You could apply for a visa immediately and hope it comes through in time. Or you can contact your airline and see if they'll let you travel visa exempt with proof of onward travel after 30 days but less than 60 days. It's going to be your airline that could be an issue, not immigration.
Its fine. First hasn't yet been published. But even if it is, you're good with a 30 day extension. And you dont need a fake ticket. My family came for 80 days with 60+30 day extension and no one had a problem, they know the 30 day extension exists!
To show proof of leaving within the 30 days, get a cheap flight out. Don't use it but get your extension soon as you can. You can keep your return flight as it is.
You have to check if it is published until 2nd or not. If not, you might be lucky because if I count correctly a publication on 3rd September means it comes into effect as of 17 September
