Hi everyone! Hoping someone can help with an odd question, I’ve tried Googling the answer but it doesn’t seem too straight forward.
AU citizen flying into Bangkok as it is the cheapest port of arrival into South East Asia on my chosen date (Oct). I’d like to spend a few days in Bangkok before heading straight over to Cambodia.
I’d then like to return to Thailand via the north of Laos later in November.
Will I need to apply for a specific visa for this, or will I be able to continue on with the original 30 days tourist via granted on entry? If I do need a different visa, is there an ideal way to apply for it?
Thank you in advance!
TLDR : Answer Summary
An Australian citizen arriving in Bangkok can stay for 30 days visa-exempt. They can re-enter Thailand later after visiting Cambodia and Laos, receiving another 30-day stay, as long as they have not previously entered Thailand via land borders more than twice in the calendar year.
