Hello Friends, I am from the USA and have been living in Phuket, Thailand since Aug. 2018. I came here on a NON-IMM "O" visa as my husband (also from the USA) took a job here. He came on a NON-IMM "B" visa then got his work permit once here. We both have extensions of stay that allow us to be here until 31 Oct. 2019. I have now been offered a job and would love to just apply for a work permit but do I need to have a different visa for this? Can I apply for a work permit on a NON-IMM "O" extension of stay or must I cancel my current extension of stay and apply for a NON-IMM "B" visa? There is a lot of information stating that someone married to a Thai Citizen can receive a work permit on an "O" visa or extension of stay but nothing for those of us married to a Foreigner. Do you know? Thank you for your time.
