Do immigration still offer the "certificate of residence" I have to do my 5 year driving licence and in previous years used a combination of Yellow and Blue book. But in the new world if closer foreigner scrutiny I think they might want a certificate of residence. I'm in Prachinburi.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The immigration authorities still offer a 'certificate of residence,' which may now be required for obtaining or renewing a driving license. Regulations regarding what documents are accepted, such as the Yellow Book and Pink ID Card, can vary by location; some DLT offices have stopped accepting Yellow Books for license renewals. It is advisable to check with your local amphur office regarding the current requirements.

Done mine yesterday, Passport, residents permit and medical, all done in about 20 minutes

I have a pink card that's what I used.
Jeremy ********
Just go to the amphur and use your yellow book, it costs ฿10 to print the papers

FYI: you can use your pink ID card to get a DL and the Pink ID number for your DL

with the Pink ID did not even want copies of Passport/Visa which I had prepared. The no. on the License is now Thai ID no, previously Passport no.

Yes. And some DLT offices have stopped accepting yellow books for license renewals as well.
