What’s the solution for booking RT airlines tickets to Thailand since you know you will not be using the return ticket?
I’ll be using Visa Upon Arrival (thus RT tickets to show leaving Thailand), but will apply for retirement visa when arriving.
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
To book RT airline tickets to Thailand when you won't be using the return ticket, consider purchasing a single ticket with an onward "throwaway" flight to nearby countries like Singapore or Kuala Lumpur. Websites like onward.flights can provide simulated onward tickets, though they are not real flights. Additionally, booking a cheap flight from a travel site like Priceline can also be effective, typically costing around $60-$90. It's important to understand the visa requirements and ensure compliance to avoid being denied entry, especially if the airline requires proof of onward travel.

Just correcting terminology. I believe you will be using a “visa exempt” entry rather that a “visa on arrival”. They are two different beasts with the latter allowing you 15 days and is not extendable.
To get the certificate of entry your embassy may insist on an return or onward ticket within 30 days, but even if it doesn’t your airline may deny you boarding if you don’t have one. Some people have managed to evade both and come in on a one way ticket, but it’s a crap shoot. Either get a changeable ticket or use an onward flight site as mentioned above.
I went into Vietnam few years ago and suddenly they demanded return ticket
Im. Finland citizen allowed 2 weeks free of visa
I really didn't expected that was my 4th entry never before was asked. Luckily ny brother he's s travel agent snd can produce in few minutes document style ticket
I used it after 2 immigration officials didn't let me in
Si then i contacted him on Fb in 10 minutes i received this flight to bkk went to the 3rd far official a he asked same question but this time i showed him that fake ticket he stamped the passport...
Few years before that was on check in flight to India frim bkk. While in que did same
The guy before me had to actually go online s buy a return otherwise would not be allowed on the flight
If you're doing visa on arrival, you need a exiting flight. You can use the website mentioned above, but it's not a real fight. Or book cheap flight to Singapore for $60-$90 dollars
