Has anyone with debt in thier home country been able to get the DTV? Would they deny your application because of that?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Many commenters suggest that having debt in your home country should not affect your ability to obtain a Thai DTV visa. Some mention that the Thai authorities are unlikely to check your financial status in your home country, while others emphasize the irrelevance of personal debt when applying for a visa. A few comments recommend resolving debts before moving, but overall, the consensus is that debt disclosure is not a typical requirement for visa applications.

How would they know unless you're showing them your credit card statement? Ridiculous question.

You could have 1 million Baht in a bank account but 800,000 in debt in a credit card account at the same time. Like a lot of people do.

Anonymous participant All they care about is how much you have in savings, even though it could be the case you have as much in debt as you have in savings

Anonymous participant 796 no but if you have a remote job who cares where your making the funds to pay off a loan, thats why the question was if the debt in general was a factor for them to deny
Anonymous ******************
Anonymous participant you should be very careful how you approach this. Let me tell you why. Judging by your comments, you sound desperate enough to fall for landing a call center scam job, just saying..
