TLDR : Answer Summary
The question addresses whether a 1-month transit visa obtained from Laos can be extended for an additional 30 days at the Chaengwatana Immigration Office in Thailand. The discussion clarifies that a transit visa, typically issued for short stays, is not extendable. Instead, the suggested options for staying longer include making a border run or applying for a proper Non-Immigrant Visa.

a transit visa can not be extended. It is good for 30days, but after you could do a border run, if you did not consume the 2 allowed yet or apply for a proper Non Immigrant Visa.

Your profile says that you LIVE IN BANGKOK. And are MARRIED. Are you married to a Thai? Are you from the Philippines with its passport?

Are you expecting to be DENIED a Tourist Visa in Laos? At Savannakhet ??

I assume so...and you hope they give you instead a Transit Visa?

And with the Transit Visa you reenter Thailand and want to know if you can get a 30 days extension on it?

Please clarify...

Am I correct in what you are asking?
