Has anyone applied for remote work and the company is a sole proprietorship, where a business registration isn't required?
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on applying for remote work with a sole proprietorship that may not require business registration. Several users share their experiences from different countries, emphasizing that while some jurisdictions do not require registration for sole proprietorships, having proof of business legitimacy can be beneficial for visa applications. The consensus suggests that while registration may not be mandatory, it could prevent issues when applying for visas like the DTV in Thailand.
Single proprietorship is not required but it doesn't mean it cannot be registered..so since you apply for DTV your business should be registered or else it will be rejected
I did that in Taiwan. Sole Proprietor from Quebec, Canada but there’s a govt website I can go to see my business details. I printed that along with everything else they wanted.
