TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about experiences of individuals with COVID extensions on their passports who traveled to Vietnam and returned to Thailand under visa exemption. Comments provide insights, suggesting variability in experiences at different entry points in Thailand, with some reporting smooth re-entry while others caution about potential scrutiny and the discretion of immigration officers. Key factors include the number of extensions, cash availability, accommodation bookings, and duration of the stay.

Will be interesting to see the outcome. My gf has been here for almost 3 years on Covid extensions and it will end late Nov and we will exit and return. Likely smart to avoid BKK and look for smaller, more quiet point of entry

i have come through chiang mai 4 times and bangkok 1 time after 6 Covid extensions I had no questions went through fast. Others have done the same so I don’t understand the issue. If you have dodgy ED or volunteer visas followed with Covid extensions you might experience problems.

there have been lots of us with 4-6 covid extensions that have come back visa exempt several times after without a single problem. They have posted in this group. There was nothing illegal about covid extensions

i flew out and each time I was out for at least 7 days. Keep in mind Thailand is quite desperate for tourists. That’s why you see all the promotions and the fact they increased the visa exempt from 30 to 45 days. It’s in their interest to let you in. If they don’t let you in it’s because you really did something wrong.

There has been a number of reports of people being denied at Bangkok, if you're flying into phuket or Chiang Mai maybe a better chance. But really depends on how long you stayed here on covid extensions

How many Covid extensions?

How long have you been in LOS using visa exempt w/ Covid extensions?

Have any history of overstaying anywhere in the world?

Will you be able to provide proof of 20,000 baht or $€£ in cash, a confirmed booking into accommodation, and your confirmed onward ticket out of LOS within the 45 day visa exempt entry?

You're simply asking for other peoples experience which is fine, however you will be subject to the discretion of the immigration officer in front of you.

Expect questions, at the very least.

Bit of a sticky wicket for many with Covid extensions and some are denied entry.

YMMV 🙃

good luck

do report back, though.
