Hi All,
Wonder if anyone here has had Covid extensions many times and successfully applied a new Thai tourist visa from neighboring countries?
I have been on Covid extensions for about a year now and am planning to go to either Malaysia or Vietnam to get a new tourist visa, then back in, get married and change to a non-o.
I am quite worried if they’d grant me a new tourist visa in such case. I have changed a new passport, though. On my new passport, there’s only my transferred entry visa, showing I entered Thailand last year, and the latest Covid extension.
Really appreciate if anyone with similar case shares your experience.
TIA!

The user seeks advice on obtaining a new Thai tourist visa after holding multiple Covid extensions for over a year. They plan to travel to neighboring countries, specifically mentioning Malaysia or Vietnam, to apply for the visa before returning to Thailand to get married and subsequently change to a Non-O visa. They express concern about the possibility of being granted a new tourist visa given their situation and the presence of only a transferred entry visa and Covid extension on their new passport. A comment suggests avoiding Vietnam due to potential arrival issues and recommends Laos or Cambodia for a visa run instead, indicating a viable border option and the use of a reputable service.
