While you can apply for jobs while on a DTV (Tourist Visa), working for a Thai company is prohibited without a work permit and appropriate visa, such as a Non-B visa. You can pursue remote jobs or apply for positions outside Thailand, but any job offer within Thailand would require transitioning to a work-eligible visa.
Sure, you can apply for all the jobs you want, in and outside of Thailand. Once you get an offer from a company to work IN Thailand though you (or your employer) need to arrange for a non-B and a work permit which will cancel out the remainder of your DTV.
You will need to change visas. First you find a job then the company will need to provide the paperwork for you to apply for a Non-B visa which you take to immigration and convert the DTV to a Non-B visa
