TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether a musician can apply for a DTV visa in Thailand. While one commenter suggests that musicians can apply similarly to freelancers by providing proof of income and a portfolio, others express concerns about the lack of clear precedents for musicians obtaining this visa. Some note that the DTV visa seems more suited for specific activities, such as attending music festivals, rather than performing or working in Thailand, as that would require a different visa or work permit.

You just need to show proof of your income that comes outside Thailand.

Actually, going by the Thai language text as published in the Royal Gazette of the Interior Ministry Notice promulgating the DTV Visa, or, more specifically, the Immigration Bureau Order implementing the DTV Visa does state " การ จัดแสดง ศิลปะ และ ดนตรี " or as Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs translates it in their English language infographic as " music festivals " :

if one were to attend music festivals, then could possibly try applying for a DTV Visa as there have yet to be any field reports of anyone trying or successfully obtained a DTV by music festivals at any Thai Embassy/Consulate....

Sorry but there's NO DTV visa for a musician.

Try taking Muay Thai training...see graphic of the DTV visa

And working inside Thailand is not allowed on the DTV visa.

Make sure that they won’t think you will do any music to Thai places or customers ! This would need work permit !

What do you want to do as a musician? How will you make money from it?

As a musician working remotely why not? Same as any other freelancer show portfolio, clients etc.
