I just got word that my Thai female partner has been accepted for her visitor Visa to Canada (I sponsored her) we are just waiting for her to get her passport back with the Visa, she wants to fly here next month and not sure how long she is willing to stay, my question is can we just buy a one way ticket??? Or will she need to have a return flight booked???

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question pertains to whether a Thai partner coming to Canada on a visitor visa can travel with a one-way ticket. Responses suggest that while it's generally not required to show a return ticket, having one is a safer option. It's advised to consider purchasing a flexible return ticket or using services that provide temporary return tickets for a fee. Overall, the consensus leans towards obtaining a return flight booking to avoid any complications.
Good luck with the lady, patience is the key, as for the ticket I would buy the return, speaking from Vancouver. All the best, baht grows on tree's in Canada.... 5555

Probably best getting a return . . . for 3 days after she arrives if she's anything like Thai girls who have done this before π
Ive only been going since 2013 but Ive only seen it get less appealing in Thailand even in those 12 years! I heard many tales from longer timers about being treated like kings but now its just "give me money" while they scroll their phones their 2 week boyfriend bought her π
So yeah Ive been tempted for a relationship a couple of times but in reality I think its best to stay single if one wants a stress(ish) free life
My initial comment was tongue in cheek in fairness π

She'll probably want to stay one week. You'll pretty much bringing a girl from Dorne and make her stay beyond the walls with a bunch of wildlings.
CBSA won't likely ask to see a return ticket, just the intended date of departure. My wife has never been asked to show a return ticket in four years of frequent visits.
