Hi Everyone,

My Australian husband has NON O Visa Multiple Entry, based on marriage to a Thai. It's time to re-entry to get his second time 90 days, we are planning to cross the border at Ban Phu Num Ron, Kanchanaburi. I wonder if it's possible to do it by ourselves without paying agent, will it be difficult? Also, if the Australian has to apply Myanmar visa or not? Please kindly advice. Thank you so much.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses whether an Australian husband can re-enter Thailand using a NON-O visa through the Ban Phu Num Ron border crossing without an agent. It is generally possible to do this independently by paying a fee of 960 THB at the border, although several comments suggest that using an agent or local transport service might ease the process. Additionally, some commenters provide practical advice and personal experiences regarding the border crossing procedures.

and we're done. Sadly if the O/P can't figure out how to border bounce on their own with the information provided by everyone they should use a service to lug them there and back.

Good Luck (y)

Depends where you are? It can be just as cheap to go to Cambodia. As someone or people suggested "do it yourself" it is quite away from Kanchanaburi town. When I went few years ago now I hired a motorbike ( 200Baht + 100 Baht petrol ) but I use to live there so I know how to get there but I wouldn't recommend it the road can be quite tricky in places.

Just do it your self. Get your husband to pay 960 at the border. U wait at the thai side for him, let him go and come back 30 minutes done.

BTW, we are not an agent, just a transport company that charges THB2000 for Western passport (that includes the THB960 processing fee), for joining Thai person we ask THB500.

If you have own transport you pay THB960 at border. You need to use the guys there.

Or, from my post on November 24, 2019:

Border Hop review for Phu Nan Ron, Kanchanaburi/ Htee Kee, Myanmar border for today (Sunday, 24 November, 2019)

Nationality: USA

Visa status: Non-O Multiple Entry, based on marriage to a Thai wife

Overstay: None

The border couldn’t be easier. Quick service, friendly, took about an hour in total to go through Thai immigration, cross into Myanmar and get stamped in and out, and to cross back into Thai immigration. The cost for the van across the border and the day pass to enter Myanmar was 960THB, payable in Thai baht, with change given in baht.

1. Depends on what you define as "an agent". Virtually everyone uses the agent at the border who charges 960THB for the day pass, and the van going across the border and back.

2. Australians must purchase the day pass. The day pass is purchased at the border. As a Thai, I do not know if you can cross with him, but there's absolutely nothing over at the other side except for a small stall selling duty free alcohol and candies that you can find in Thailand.

Thanks. I meant the agent from Bangkok, they will charge more than 960 Baht. I wonder how can I know who is the agent to pay 960B. at the border? I'm a bit worried to ask a wrong person at the border and will get in trouble.

i go just last week. Thai people need to pay for day pass, but can wait near thai immigration so no need to pay. Need to wait just 20 minute
