Question about the 90-day report, I couldn't find the answer in previous threads.
I'm on an ED visa and my next 90-day report is due on January 15th. I have seen from this forum that I can also do it up to 7 days after the due date. And that leaving the country can be done instead of the report.
I've planned a trip to Hong Kong at the end of the month and I'm wondering whether leaving Thailand on the 22nd of January (7 days after the due date) can count as 90-day report? Or would I need to came back to Thailand within those 7 days?
Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user with an ED visa in Thailand is seeking clarification about submitting a 90-day report while planning to travel to Hong Kong. They wish to understand if leaving Thailand on January 22nd, which is 7 days past their 90-day report due date of January 15th, would count as fulfilling the reporting requirement. Comments clarify that leaving the country does not count as completing the report; upon re-entry, the next report would be due 89 days later, and the individual must submit the report if they are in the country when it's due.

Leaving the country NEVER counts as a 90 day report. What happens is when you come back it resets the 90 day count down clock and your next 90 day report is due 89 days from the day you stamp back in.
If you are here when the report is due you need to do it.
The 7 days after the report is due which you are given to file a report in person does not mean if you're leaving in those days you don't have to file.
