A friend has a current 30 day visa exemption stamp and intends to extend for further 30 days. I read that in Patong she could only extend for 7 days and some other contradictory info online.
Otherwise could do Phuket Town but preferrably Patong.
May she extend in Patong office for further 30 days with a 1900thb fee or not?
Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about extending a friend's 30-day visa exemption in Patong and whether it could be done for an additional 30 days for a fee of 1900 THB. Respondents clarified that while there are varying reports, extensions can generally be applied for at any immigration office, including Patong, depending on the friend's nationality and visa circumstances.
Then they came in on what's called a 30 day visa exempt entry <- it has that catchy name because they didn't BUY a visa from a thai consulate before they came here but because of where they come from were stamped in for 30 days without a visa :O .
They can apply for a 30 day extension for 1900baht at ANY immigration office.
Fernando Raigal First I would say, delete the link. Your friend does not have a visa, so searching for Extensions of Stay on different types of visa does not help at all. As Tod mentioned, he has a 30 day free Visa Exempt Stamp and he can get the Extension of Stay at Patong Immigration. Bring the passport and copies of ID page, Visa Exempt Stamp page from the passport, copy TM 6 departure card, 1 passport picture, the notification of stay (address registration) and 1.900 Thb. You get the application form there to fill in.
thanks thats what I thought however I find contradictory info online and wonder if its doable in Patong office or not. Was going to try just give them a call but its Sunday so looking for some leads here.
