Just for information for community: went today to Patong immigration office to extend visa exempt for 30 days (german passport). Went smooth, you only need copy passport, copy stamp, one photo, TM7 sheet (you'll find it there), pay 1900thb, wait 30 minutes. In Phuket Town immigration they told me, they need some residency forms but in Patong nobody was asking for this. If you have further questions please ask, just wanted to share my experience maybe it's interesting for someone. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ™‚

TLDR : Answer Summary
A community member shared their experience of extending their visa exempt for 30 days at the Patong immigration office. They provided useful insights, stating that the process was smooth and required only a copy of the passport, a copy of the stamp, a photo, the completed TM7 form, and a fee of 1900 THB. They noted a discrepancy with Phuket Town immigration, where additional residency forms were requested. Other comments clarified that some immigration offices may ask for residency documentation, specifically a filed TM30.

Phuket Town do not ask for residency forms for a visa exempt extension.

Possibly you were asking for a residency certificate, in which case they need a filed TM30. If you don’t have one then they need residency forms to show you are actually resident in Phuket so they can file a TM30.

Residency was probably the TM30, some immigration ask for it some don't.
