My friend just arrived at bkk on visa exempt but his flight out is five days past the 30 days. Due to unforseen circumstance! Can he get a 30 day extension and if so what does he need in the way of money and paperwork? Apply at any immigration office??

TLDR : Answer Summary
A friend who arrived in Bangkok on a visa-exempt entry and needs to stay for five days beyond the allowed 30 days can apply for a 30-day extension. The extension can typically be obtained at any immigration office in Thailand. Required documentation generally includes a completed application form, passport with the current visa exemption stamp, and potentially a fee, often around 1,900 THB. It's also advisable to check if there are additional requirements based on the friend's nationality.
