TLDR : Answer Summary
In Thailand, upon entry, you typically receive a 30-day allowance, often referred to as a visa exemption. This can be extended for an additional 30 days at an immigration office, but arrangements for a longer stay should ideally be made beforehand by obtaining a 60-day tourist visa from a Thai embassy or consulate. Applying for the extension cannot be done prior to your arrival, but a 60-day visa can be procured online or directly at the embassy. It's crucial to comply with the visa regulations to avoid overstaying, which can lead to fines and potential entry bans.

Come in 30 days, extend at immigration 30 days, get out of thailand from the nearest border and come back in again 30 days, extend at immigration again 30 days, get out of thailand from the nearest border and come back in again 30 days, extend at immigration again 30 days, then back to your country of origin because you have used up whatever permitted in a year. Most probably gonna get questioned when doing this too often.

GET an e-visa on their web site 60 days before you leave that’s it and do this under two month before leaving

Why do some people ask visa questions without providing their nationality? That makes no sense.

Somewhat rude but they're correct. You cannot stay in Thailand for 32 days unless you have the 60 day or greater Visa. You can extend the 30 day that you get when entering the country while there for a total of 60 days. Or from your home country you can apply for a 60-day tourist visa. That would be the correct way for you to do that. At least based on the understanding that I have at this point. It sounds like it takes 3 to 4 business weeks to return and you have to have your flight information as well as your lodging accommodations.

You can extend in Thailand. You cannot extend in advance. What you can do in advance though, is get a 60 day tourist visa. That saves you the hassle of extending.

I intend to stay 32 nights in Thailand and the Automatic Tourist-Visa on arrival in Thailand is only 30 days, I want to know if I will need to sort out my Tourist-Visa in advance even before get in Thailand or that can be sort out in Thailand?
do it before, if you can apply online or if you have an Embassy or consulate nearby. That would be easier, cheaper, and it covers your back on the onward travel requirement.
you are lost! 🤣🤣🤣You just REFUSE to understand! You will be in a 2 days overstay, but don't worry because the airline will not let you board the flight to Thailand, you will never arrive in Thailand because you refuse to understand. Because you do not have a proof of leaving Thailand within the 30 days stay permit. So don't worry about not understanding that you dont get an "automatic 30 days tourist visa". You will be left stranded at the airport 😂😎🤣😎🤣😂
overstay is only 500baht per day, so if op is only staying 2 days over, it would actually be cheaper than extending. But yes, op would probably be barred from returning for a year.
probably barred? For a 2 day overstay..? No. He will pay 1,000 baht at the airport and no issues. We were as a couple 5 days late and paid 6,000 baht. No issues.

Be aware - There are 9 countries that are exceptions to the 30 day tourism extension - Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Nepal, Togo, Nigeria, and Uganda

When going to Thailand for 31 - 60 ( 90 )days, the 60 days touristvisa is the best option.
It is cheaper than visa excempt + 30 days extension.
No need of a onward ticket ( 90 days 1 onward ), if returnticket within 60 days.
It is easier to apply from the comfort of your home.

Not wasting holiday time to find, go to and waiting at a immigration office ( 90 you would need that ).

The best way to sort out the mistake of buying a ticket with too many days is to apply for 60 days tourist visa, then everything is sorted before leaving home.
there's is no automatic tourist visa on arrival. There's is a visa exempt entry where you have NO visa but are allowed to enter for 30 days and can extend that for extra 30 days.
I've just told you how. And Brandon told you in the first post. You have a choice. Do it that way using "visa exempt/no visa" or apply for a tourist visa before you arrive.

There's no such thing as a 30 day tourist visa. If you receive 30 days then you're probably talking about visa exempt which means no visa at all.
You can apply one time for a 30-day extension at your local immigration office. You can apply as soon as you arrive at most immigration offices, but a few (Jomtien, Koh Samui, Koh Pangnan) only allow you to apply during the last week of your stay.

the 30 day visa exempt ( no visa) entry is not a visa. It's permission to stay 30 days without a visa and then go to immigration to apply for extra 30 days.
There's no such thing as a tourist visa on arrival. The ONLY way to get a tourist visa is if you apply at a Thai embassy before you travel to Thailand.
If you are talking about 30 days then you are talking about visa exempt. That is NOT a tourist visa. It's not a visa at all. Look at the name "visa exempt." It means you don't have a visa, you are exempt from needing a visa.
You can either apply for a tourist visa before you travel, or apply for an extension inside of Thailand.
The tourist visa is cheaper than an extension in Thailand and you won't have to spend a day traveling to immigration, waiting in line, filling in forms etc.
