Can my fiancée's citizenship and our relationship help me apply for a DTV visa, and what are the fund requirements?

A couple questions if someone can assist me.

My fiancée and I have been together 10 years and he is a citizen of my country because of me. Does this count as evidence to apply for DTV if I have online work?

Also, I’d like to clarify… are you supposed to have the minimum funds available in your account untouched for three months prior? Thanks in advance 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about applying for a DTV based on their 10-year relationship with their fiancée and whether having online work qualifies them. Responses clarify that the fiancée cannot be included as a dependent without marriage, and that financial requirements vary by embassy, with some requiring a minimum balance for three months and others less.

Thanks for these tips!

I suppose re finances it’s best to just be prepared whether it’s 3 months or not if it’s dependent on location.

Sorry I should’ve been clearer - my fiancée would be my dependent on my DTV visa.

You can apply for a DTV based on workation for your online work. Your fiance would have to find his own visa and apply for it himself independently of you.

If you're looking to get a dependant visa than you need to be married. Some embassies require 3 months, others don't.

Your fiancée would be irrelevant in an application for a DTV.

Some embassies require 3 months. Some require only 1 month. Some just want to see the balance is at or over 500k.
