Hi everyone! I just wanted to ask if having 500k spread across three bank accounts is acceptable when applying for the DTV. My savings are split between THB and EUR on Revolut, and my local currency in a domestic bank account—so overall, three different currencies across two banks. I’ll probably apply in Ho Chi Minh.

I could consolidate everything into THB on Revolut, but it would take a few days and I’d prefer to avoid the fees and exchange rate losses. Any advice?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The suitability of having 500,000 THB spread across three different bank accounts in various currencies for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) application can vary based on specific embassy requirements. While some users indicate that multiple accounts and currencies might be accepted, it's crucial to verify with the relevant embassy, particularly in Hanoi, about their policies concerning accounts from providers like Revolut, which may not be recognized as traditional banks everywhere. Consolidating funds into a single account is often recommended for practicality and clearer compliance with visa requirements.

Most easy would be to put everything in an account at a bank that is clearly a bank.

I know Revolut is a bank in a number of countries, but it is not recognized as such everywhere.

Having everything in the same account is also more practical for the coming 5 years in case you might have to prove you still comply to the visa requirements.

Multiple accounts/currencies can be accepted but approval is embassy specific. You have to confirm with Hanoi if they are ok with it and your Revolut account..

thanks! Will just ask them before a flight (to Ho Chi Minh, I heard it's kind of easy over there). I hope they can just answer such a question without applying...

Yeah it is an "easier" embassy than many others for approval. The threads may have Vietnam posts from similar applicants to yourself.

You don't say where your Revolut account is but it's not considered a bank everywhere so might be problematic
