Has anyone applied for a dependant on the dtv at the same time or do you have to wait for approval of dtv first?

Planning on applying in Vietnam soon

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a dependent visa related to the DTV visa, you must first get approval for the primary DTV visa holder. After receiving the primary visa approval, you can then submit applications for each dependent. The process typically takes about 1.5 to 3 weeks, considering weekends and public holidays.

How i wish, I came across this opportunity long ago, it would have been huge now. You've corrected that step now, thanks for your good work

You must be approved first before applying for dependant. It took me 1.5weeks to do mine in hcmc recently. I would probably plan for 3 weeks to do main applicant and dependant. Don't forget it's 5 business days. Factor in weekends and any public holidays

Get approval for the primary DTV Visa holder, then submit an application for each dependent.

so if it usually takes 5 days for the dtv visa (in Vietnam), and we need to wait for approval first we should estimate for 10 days in total for both the primary and dependants ?

and when they say “days”, it is business days. Weekends and holidays don’t count

there's a surge in applications. Be patient. And know that if any questions or documents are requested by the Thai Embassy or Consulate, the calendar for approval is reset.
