My family and I would like to apply for the DTV online.

What's the best / correct approach:

1. Submit my application first, and only once it's been approved, submit my wife's and daughter's application afterwards?

2. Or can we submit multiple - main and dependent - DTV applications together in one submission on the same day?

Can anyone here share some pointers? Many thanks in advance 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The recommended approach for applying for the DTV visa is to first submit the main applicant's application. Only after receiving approval for the main application should you submit the applications for your dependents, such as your wife and daughter.

Thank you. Will most probably follow your advice..

1 is the way to go if you are the main applicant with your wife and daughter as dependents. Note, Malaysia is the strictest embassy to gain approval from e.g Need to book 6 months accommodation,. Check the threads for application info.

thank you. Will most probably follow your advice. I was thinking to chose Malaysia because my wife is Malaysian and I've been living in Kuala Lumpur for the past 10 years. Are you saying it's better to submit my application with another Thai embassy, e.g. those in Vietnam? But then, I'm wondering what's the difference if everything (submission, communication, rejection / approval) happens through online channels?

It is faster and easier to get approved elsewhere, But as you are living in KL it is cheaper for you to do it there. I know some Malay who applied in nearby SE and East Asian countries as it is much quicker and easier than in Malaysia. Vietnam, Jakarta are 'friendlier" with very high approval rates which is why so many go there.
